Close-up of a Black woman's eyes and eyebrows in black and white.

I’ve always been searching for the language to explain what I see in the world. For years, I tried to capture it through stories, through architecture, through fragments of notebooks filled with questions. Nothing was ever enough; not enough to explain, to convince, to reveal to others what felt so second-nature to me.

Silence gave me the space to begin again. To break, to deconstruct, to remake. Like kintsugi, I learned to piece myself together with gold in the cracks. What looked like fracture forged a new design. What felt like ruin charted a map.

In that rebuilding, I began to live more interdisciplinarily than ever before. I folded together science and spirituality, horror and humanity, myth and mathematics, until they no longer felt separate. They became origami: something intricate, precise, and alive, like paper folding and unfolding into new forms.

And like batik, much of the pattern only emerged through resistance. Parts of me were hidden, held back, protected under layers of silence. Only when the wax was peeled away did the true design reveal itself — a pattern that could never have existed without what was first covered.

The first unveiling is Interdisciplinary Physics, a framework that bridges what once felt impossible to name. But it is also the root of how I write, how I tell stories, and how I move through the world. My other projects — Anti-Villain, Glitter, and even my earlier work, Water Herself — orbit the same gravity. Each of them, in their own way, carries the imprint of silence, fracture, and the remaking.

I name myself this way because names carry signals:

  • Interdisciplinary Pioneer: for the systems-thinking, interwoven perspective my mind and eyes provide me.

  • Dimensional Cartographer: for the pathways I trailblazed, the discoveries I made along the way.

  • Narrative Synthesizer: for the threads I weave into resonance, creating harmony where others see only fragments.

This is the arc I’m telling: the kintsugi of my life remade, the origami folds of work that refuse to stay flat, and the batik patterns revealed only after long resistance. The story that has been writing me as much as I’ve been writing it.

And now, I’m ready to share it.

This is only the beginning of the unfolding.
